Police appeal to locate man missing from Bateau Bay

Police are appealing for public assistance to find a man missing from the Tuggerah Lakes area.

Bernard Anable, aged 82, was last seen at his home on Rushby Street in Bateau Bay about 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 4 December 2022).

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District commenced an investigation into his whereabouts when he was reported missing by family.

Bernard is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm-175cm tall, of slim build, bald and with blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue and white board shorts, black slides and a red cap. Bernard wears a bracelet with his name on it.

Police and family hold concerns for Bernard's welfare due to his age and because of an existing medical condition.

Bernard is known to frequent the Umina area.
