Police appeal to locate man missing near Coffs Harbour

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing near Coffs Harbour.

John William Brown, aged 87, was last seen by his wife after leaving his home on Walco Drive, Toormina, to go shopping at a supermarket on Minorie Drive about 4pm yesterday (Sunday 1 May 2022).

When he failed to return home, John was reported missing to officers at Coffs/Clarence Police District, who commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm to 175cm tall, of medium build, with grey hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion.

He may be travelling in a white Holden Astra hatchback with New South Wales registration AT-96-EP.
