Police appeal to locate missing girl at Bankstown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl reported missing from Sydney's south-west.

Mia Georgis, aged 15, was last seen in Raymond Street, Bankstown, about 3pm yesterday (Thursday 31 August 2023).

When she could not be contacted or located, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Mia is described as being Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, between 155-165cm tall, and with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a black jumper and black tights.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Mia is known to the frequent the Bankstown area and is likely using the public transport network.

Anyone who sees Mia or has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Bankstown police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
