Police appeal to locate missing teenage boy at Singleton

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from the Hunter region.

Darren Wyld – aged 13 – was last seen leaving a school on York Street, Singleton, about 2.45pm yesterday (Friday 15 October 2021).

When Darren failed to return home as expected, he was reported missing to officers from Hunter Valley Police District, who commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Darren's welfare due to his age.

Darren is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm to 160cm tall, of medium build, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He is believed to have been wearing a school uniform, consisting of a light blue shirt, with a navy blue jumper over the top.
