Police appeal to locate teen missing from Lithgow

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Lithgow.

Yasmine Cooke, aged 14, was last seen at her home on Landa Street, Bowenfels, near Lithgow, about 6pm on Saturday (16 April 2022).

When she couldn't be contacted by her family, officers attached to Chifley Police District were notified on Sunday (17 April 2022) and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Yasmine's welfare due to her young age.

Yasmine is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm to 165cm tall, of slim build and long bleached blonde hair with pink colouring. It is not known what she was wearing at the time.

She is known to frequent the Lithgow and Blue Mountains area.

Anyone with information on Yasmine's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
