Police appeal to locate teen missing from Corrimal

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney's south.

Leilani Grimes, aged 13, was last seen at Corrimal Railway Station at 9.10pm on Friday 16 September 2022.

When she could not be contacted by family or friends, officers from the Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Police hold concerns for Leilani due to her age.

Leilani is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 165cm tall, medium build, dark brown hair (usually worn in a bun), and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black Tommy Hilfiger-brand sweatshirt, royal blue-coloured undershirt, black tracksuit pants, black shoes and silver hoop earrings.

Leilani is known to frequent the Wollongong area.

Anyone who may have seen Leilani or who may know of her whereabouts is urged to contact Wollongong Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
