Police appeal to locate teen missing from Shellharbour

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from the Shellharbour area.

Gai Tue Vu, also known as Amy, aged 13, was last seen at a home in Oak Flats, about 9.30pm yesterday (Monday 24th October 2022).

When she could not be located the following morning, officers from Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Family and police hold concerns for Amy's welfare due to her young age and her disappearance is out of character.

Amy is described as being of Asian appearance, about 150cm tall, of a thin build and with black hair.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time.
