Police appeal to locate woman missing from Birrong

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the Birrong area overnight.

Serena Ly, aged 20, was last seen at a home on Gascoigne Road about 12am last night (Saturday 5 February 2022).

She was reported missing to officers from Bankstown Police Area Command shortly after, who conducted a search of the area and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as she lives with autism and is non-verbal.

Serena is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build, with shoulder length black hair.

She was last seen wearing a burgundy hooded jumper, black and white striped pants and blue slides.

Serena is known to frequent train stations and bus stops, utilising the public transport network.

Anyone who may have seen Serena or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
