Police appeal to locate woman missing from Blacktown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's west.

Melissa Thompson, aged 27, was last seen at Blacktown Station about 7.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 19 April 2022), when she boarded a train towards Parramatta.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

Police and Melissa's family hold serious concerns for her welfare as she lives with medical conditions that require medication.

Melissa is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 170cm tall, medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink hair tie, black top, black shorts, black joggers and was carrying a black side bag.

Police believe she may be in the Blacktown, Liverpool or Parramatta areas.
