Police appeal to locate woman missing from Redfern

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the inner city.

Leslie Weldon, aged 59, was last seen at her home in Redfern yesterday evening (Friday 22 April 2022).

When she did not return home officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and immediately commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Leslie's welfare as she lives with dementia.

Leslie is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, slim build, approximately 150cm tall and having long brown curly hair.

She was last seen wearing a light pink jumper, black tracksuit pants and pink shoes. Leslie was also carrying a brown handbag and a green environmental bag.

It is believed that Leslie may frequent the Leichhardt area.

Anyone with information on Leslie's whereabouts is urged to contact South Sydney Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
