Police appeal to locate woman missing from Riverwood

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney’s south.

Yulan Yang, aged 74, was at her home on Washington Avenue, Riverwood, when last spoken to by family members about 7am today (Sunday 19 June 2022).

When she could not be contacted by family later in the day, officers from Campsie Police Area Command were contacted and have commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Mrs Yang’s welfare as this is considered out of character.

Mrs Yang is described as being of Asian appearance, about 150cm tall and 50kg-60kg with a slim build. She has short greying hair, and dark eyes. It’s unknown what she was wearing at the time.

Her family has told police she is physically active, frequents Riverwood, Campsie and Ashfield areas, and uses public transport.

Mrs Yang may appear confused or disoriented and does not speak or understand English, only Mandarin.
