Police are responding to fatal collision in Dederang

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal head-on collision in Dederang this morning.

It's understood the two vehicles, a dark grey Ford Ranger utility and a silver Ford Ranger utility, collided on the Kiewa Valley Highway just after 11.30am on 16 January.

Sadly, a passenger in the dark grey Ranger, a 70-year-old Albury woman, died at the scene.

The male driver of the same vehicle, a 72-year-old Albury man, was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Another passenger in the dark grey utility, a woman believed to be in her 50s, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the silver utility, a 35-year-old Dederang man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

His passenger, a two-year-old boy, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
