Police are responding to fatal collision in Bellbrae

Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred at Bellbrae on Wednesday 11 May.

Investigators have been told a truck and two cars collided at the intersection of Moores Road and Anglesea Road about 5.30pm.

A woman travelling in one of the cars, believed in her 60s, died at the scene.

The driver of the that car, also a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the other car involved, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck is assisting police with their enquires.

Investigators are yet to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
