Police are investigating a fatal collision in Yalca this morning.
It is understood a truck and car collided on Waaia-Bearii Road and Murray Valley Highway about 7.35am, before the truck veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver of the truck died at the scene.
The male driver of the car was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The female passenger was air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of the collision and investigations are ongoing.
