Police are investigating a fatal collision in Ruby this morning.
Emergency services were called to the South Gippsland Highway after two vehicles collided about 7.15am.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The yet-to-be formally identified driver of the second vehicle died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
The South Gippsland Highway is currently closed between Korumburra and Leongatha, and will be for some time while officers process the scene.
