Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating an incident that occurred in Broadwood (Kalgoorlie) on Tuesday, 9 December 2025.
About 11.45pm, a red Honda Civic sedan was travelling east on Gatacre Drive when it left the road and collided with a tree approximately 200 metres east of O'Connor Street.
The 25-year-old female driver of the vehicle and a 30-year-old male passenger were conveyed from the scene by St John WA to Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital in a critical condition but later died from their injuries.
Major Crash investigators are examining the scene and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the Honda driving in the area prior to the incident to make a report to Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
