Police are responding to fatal crash, Millchester

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Millchester, that took the life of a 30-year-old woman last night (November 5).

Early information indicates a 49-year-old man was driving along Bluff Road at about 9.40pm when the vehicle he was driving struck a pedestrian sat in the road.

The woman died at the scene and the driver was not physically injured.

The 49-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
