Police are responding to fatal crash, Mount Morgan

A 28-year-old Mount Morgan man has died after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding crashing into a vacant block of land at Mount Morgan overnight.

Around 10.50pm the motorcyclist was travelling west along Central Street when near Pattison Street he has lost control at the crest of the road and crashed.

He was transported to the Rockhampton Base Hospital with injuries to his arms and chest.

He later passed away in hospital from his injuries.

Police investigations reveal the man was not wearing a helmet.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have any dashcam of the incident to come forward.
