Police are responding to fatal crash - Nambung

Major Crash Investigations officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Nambung yesterday, Sunday 15 September 2019.

Around 1.50pm a Nissan Xtrail and a passenger bus collided on Indian Ocean Drive, near the intersection of Pinnacles Road,

It's appears the Nissan Xtrail, with three people on board, has turned from Pinnacles Drive onto Indian Ocean Drive, colliding with a TransWA bus, carrying the driver and 34 passengers.

The collision caused the Nissan to roll, coming to rest on its roof.

The driver of the Nissan Xtrail died at the scene. The two passengers were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue Helicopter. One passenger has since died and the other is in a critical but stable condition.

St John Ambulance officers treated some of the bus occupants at the scene for minor injuries.

Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
