Police are responding to fatal crash - Palmerston 9 November

Northern Territory Police are investigating a pedestrian death in Palmerston earlier this evening.

Around 6pm police were notified a man had been struck on the inbound lanes of the Stuart Highway near Yarrawonga Road.

Emergency services arrived shortly after and began CPR but the 59-year-old man was declared deceased at 6.15pm.

The driver stopped at the scene.

The inbound lanes are currently closed and drivers are urged to use alternative routes and obey all traffic directions.

Major Crash detectives are appealing for any witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who was in the vicinity or witnessed the crash is urged to call police on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
