Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Wembley

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the Mitchell Freeway in Wembley this morning, Sunday, 3 May 2026.

About 10.30am, a white Nissan Patrol station sedan was travelling northbound on the Mitchell Freeway when the driver lost control of the vehicle near the Powis Street exit, causing it to roll.

The 18-year-old male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained critical injuries and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital, where sadly he died a short time later.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to report to Crime Stoppers via www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling on 1800 333 000.
