Police are responding to serious crash, Southport

A 52-year-old Surfers Paradise man is in a critical condition following a single vehicle crash at Southport early this morning (August 14).

Initial investigations indicate a Mercedes Benz travelling on Southport Nerang Road has rolled at approximately 1.10am.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 52-year-old man, was transported in a critical condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
