A driver was arrested after allegedly failing to stop for police and crashing into three other cars at Mile End this morning.
Police attempted to pull over the unroadworthy silver Mazda sedan on James Congdon Drive, Mile End about 8.40am on Friday 24 April.
The Mazda didn't stop and headed north along James Congdon Drive. It tried to squeeze between two other cars but collided with both vehicles, near Hughes Street.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage and fortunately the occupants of those cars were not injured.
The Mazda continued driving before crashing into a third car on Daringa Street, near the intersection of South Road, Mile End. The Toyota sustained front end damage and needed to be towed from the scene. The driver was not injured.
The suspect did not stop at the scene. The driver abandoned the Mazda after crashing into a fence in a laneway behind Daringa Street and ran off.
Police searched the area, eventually locating the suspect hiding nearby.
The 23-year-old Elizabeth East woman was arrested and charged with driving unlicensed, dangerous driving to escape police pursuit and failing to stop at the scene of a crash.
The Mazda was impounded by police and towed from the scene.
She was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at the earliest opportunity, likely Monday 17 April.
