Police arrest five males after robbery and collision involving stolen vehicle

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested five males after a series of incidents in the south eastern suburbs last night.

It's alleged two males from an allegedly stolen grey sedan approached two males in Elmslie Drive, Cranbourne East on Tuesday 21 December just before 8pm and demanded the victim's phones. The stolen vehicle containing up to five males then fled with the victim's phones.

It's then alleged the vehicle attended a service station in Dandenong Hastings Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday 22 December about 1.30am where the males stole petrol, cash and other items from the store.

A short time later, it's alleged the stolen vehicle was involved in a collision in Seaford Road, Seaford. Three males ran from the stolen car and were arrested nearby.

Two males were arrested in Narre Warren after they were located in another stolen vehicle.

A 13-year-old boy is expected to be charged with robbery, unlawful assault and unlicensed driving. He is expected to face a Children's Court at a later date.

A 16-year-old boy is expected to be charged with theft of motor vehicle. He is expected to face a Children's Court at a later date.

A 16-year-old boy is expected to be charged with robbery and theft of motor vehicle. He will face a bail justice hearing this evening.

A 14-year-old boy is in hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries following the collision.

A 15-year-old boy was released without charge.
