Police arrest four after Doveton car jacking

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested four people this week following an alleged car jacking in Doveton last month.

On Wednesday, 4 December two women and one man were arrested in Cranbourne North and Noble Park and charged as follows:

• A 31-year-old Cranbourne North man was charged with aggravated car jacking, and reckless conduct endangering life;

• A 28-year-old Doveton woman was charged with aggravated car jacking; and

• A 23-year-old Cranbourne North woman was charged with aggravated car jacking.

They subsequently faced Melbourne Magistrates' Court and the man and Doveton woman were remanded in custody, while the Cranbourne North woman was bailed.

All three will appear again at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 28 February, 2020.

Yesterday a 32-year-old Meadow Heights woman was arrested in Melbourne.

She was charged with aggravated car jacking and was remanded overnight to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

The arrests follow an alleged car jacking on Claret Street, Doveton on 19 November.

Two teenage occupants of a vehicle were allegedly threatened with a firearm and a shot was discharged when their car was stolen.

Both victims were physically uninjured during the incident.
