Police arrest four teens after Cranbourne fast food affray

Police from the Dandenong Frontline Tactic Unit arrested four girls overnight following an affray at a fast food outlet in Cranbourne.

Officers were called to the restaurant, on the corner of South Gippsland Highway and Camms Road, following reports the quartet were causing trouble in the store on Tuesday 11 February about 10.15pm.

It's believed three of the offenders entered the staff area and stole food before a sign was thrown at a staff member, injuring the 23-year-old victims' ear.

Other items were thrown at staff and the store extensively damaged before all four girls ran from the scene.

They were spotted by police and arrested nearby as they tried to run away.

A 17-year-old from Keysborough, and two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old from Pakenham are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

It is expected they will be charged in relation to affray, criminal damage, burglary and assault related offences.

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit is investigating and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or log onto www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
