Police arrest man after attempted murder investigation - Brighton Le Sands

A man has been arrested following an investigation into the attempted murder of a man in Sydney's south earlier this year.

About 4am on Saturday 11 January 2020, a 24-year-old man suffering stab wounds arrived at St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Inquiries indicate the man had been stabbed multiple times at a unit complex in Bay Street, Brighton Le Sands, and drove himself to hospital.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Strike Force Alawai was established and following extensive inquiries, a 23-year-old man was arrested at Burwood Police Station about 3pm today (Monday 6 April 2020), where he is expected to be charged.
