Police Arrest Man After Fatal Stabbing At Nowra

A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Nowra today.

About 5.45pm (Sunday 20 April 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of Moss Street and Brereton Street, Nowra, following reports of an altercation between two men.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the two men were known to each other and were involved in an altercation when one of the men was allegedly stabbed in the torso.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics however, he could not be revived.

While he is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 20's.

A 47-year-old man was arrested a short time later at Nowra Police Station.

A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined by specialist officers.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
