Police Arrest Man After Graffiti Offences In Auburn

A man has been arrested after a string of alleged graffiti offences in Sydney's south west.

In January 2025, Proactive Crime Team officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command commenced investigations after nearly 20 properties were graffitied in Berala.

About 7.50am on Tuesday (29 July 2025), officers attended a home on Brixton Road, Berala, to execute a search warrant.

A 32-year-old man was arrested the home and taken to Auburn Police Station.

During the search warrant, police allegedly located and seized cannabis, fireworks and a protected Death Adder Snake.

The man was charged with a total of 21 offences of:

  • 17 counts of destroy or damage property less than $2000
  • Possess prohibited drug
  • Handle explosive/precursor without authorising licence
  • Possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene
  • Deal in or attempt to deal in protected animal

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 30 July 2025).
