Police arrest man after multiple incidents in southern suburbs, South Australia

A man has been arrested after stealing a car at knifepoint in the southern suburbs.

Police will allege that about 7.30am today (Monday 29 August), patrols were called to Galloway Road after reports that a man had stabbed another man and stole his silver Ford Mondeo sedan, driving off in the vehicle

The victim was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre in a serious condition.

The Mondeo was involved in a crash on O'Sullivan Beach Road at Lonsdale about five minutes later, where it collided with a blue Mazda.

The driver of the Mazda was not injured.

The suspect then ran to a business in Devon Street, where he threatened another man with a knife before stealing a second car, a white Toyota Corolla. He sped off in the vehicle and was pursued by patrols on to Dyson Road, then left on to Flaxmill Road.

Road spikes were deployed near the intersection of Main South Road, spiking the car's tyres.

The 32-year-old man of no fixed address will face numerous charges including engaging in a police pursuit and aggravated robbery.
