Police arrest man after Rostrevor break-in, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a break-in at Rostrevor early this morning.

Just before 3.30am on Thursday 10 June, residents of a Durant Avenue home awoke to noises and upon investigation, discovered a person inside the property.

The occupants immediately called police and patrols arrived within minutes. Cordons were set up around the area, and with the assistance of a Dog Operations officer and PD Zeus, located the suspect a street away.

Police also located keys, phones and other items allegedly stolen from the home.

Entry was gained to the home by jemmying open a rear door.

A 29-year-old man from Hectorville was charged aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and breach of bail. He has been reused bail and will be appearing in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
