Police arrest man after theft of tow truck and car in Cranbourne

Police have arrested a man in an alleged stolen car in Cranbourne last night, who was also wanted for allegedly ramming a police vehicle in a stolen tow truck last week.

Investigators located the man in the alleged stolen car on Collision Road around 10.30pm Tuesday night.

It is also alleged, the man rammed a police vehicle in a stolen tow truck just after 9.30am on Saturday 17 April.

The 24-year-old Carrum Downs man is expected to be charged with aggravated intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving, theft, assault emergency worker and traffic offences.

He is expected to be put before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court later this morning.
