Police Arrest Man For Child Exploitation Material 16 June

A Southern suburbs man has been arrested for possessing and sharing child exploitation material.

On Tuesday 16 June, investigators from the South Australian Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a joint task force between the South Australia Police and the Australian Federal Police, attended a residence in the Southern suburbs and conducted a search as part of an ongoing investigation. Numerous electronic devices were seized by investigators for forensic analysis.

A 23-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with possessing child exploitation material and disseminating child exploitation material. He did not apply for bail and will appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday 17 June.

Detective Chief Inspector George Fenwick, Officer in Charge Special Crime Investigation Branch said this arrest reassures the community that,

"The SA JACET remain committed to identifying offenders, protecting children from harm and holding those responsible accountable for their actions."
