Police arrest man over Gawler South chemist robbery, South Australia

Today, police arrested a man over a pharmacy robbery at Gawler South on Saturday.

At 11.45am on Saturday 17 September, a man armed with a knife entered the pharmacy on Adelaide Road. He allegedly stole cash and medications and was last seen heading to the rear of the building before leaving in a blue Holden Commodore.

Thankfully, no one was physically injured during the robbery.

As a result of investigations, police attended at a Smithfield home and arrested a man over the incident. The suspect vehicle used in the offence was also located at Birdwood this afternoon.

Property from the robbery was located at the scene.

A 30-year-old man from Blakeview has been charged with aggravated robbery and other offences and refused police bail. He is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
