Police have arrested two Noble Park teens following multiple aggravated burglaries and an attempted carjacking of an unmarked police car in Keysborough overnight.
It is understood the offenders gained entry to an address armed with a weapon in Annabelle Boulevard, Keysborough about 1.30am this morning.
The four people home at the time, aged 39, 36, eight and four-years-old, were not physically injured during the incident and were not confronted by the offenders.
The pair stole car keys and fled in a vehicle believed to be stolen.
The teens then attempted to gain entry to an address in Keylana Drive, Keysborough about 1.40am but were unsuccessful, before gaining entry to a neighbouring house about 1.50am.
They confronted two of the seven occupants, aged 70 and 66-years-old, and made demands for car keys before fleeing in the same vehicle.
Uniform police officers in the unmarked police vehicle were responding to the reported aggravated burglaries when they came to a stop behind a stationery vehicle on Red Brush Drive, Keysborough about 2.00am.
It is understood the two offenders then left their car and approached the driver of the unmarked police vehicle.
They allegedly attempted to carjack it, however were unsuccessful and quickly returned to their vehicle.
A short pursuit ensued before stop sticks were deployed in Corrigan Street, Nobel Park and the car came to a rest about 2.13am.
The offenders attempted to flee on foot but were arrested shortly afterwards in Theodore Drive.
The male teens aged 17 and 19-years-old, are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
They are expected to face court this morning.
