Police Arrest Teen After Kangaroo Flat Assault

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a teen after a serious assault in Bendigo yesterday.

Emergency services were called to reports of a man found injured in a shopping centre carpark on High Street about 6.15pm on 2 November.

The 44-year-old Elphinstone man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

It is alleged the victim was assaulted by a group of youths before they fled the scene.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested nearby.

He was interviewed by investigators and released pending further investigation.

Detectives are working to determine the identity of the other alleged offenders involved.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
