A teenager was arrested after allegedly breaking into the home of an elderly man at Port Lincoln this afternoon.
Police were called to Mortlock Terrace, Port Lincoln about 12.15pm on Sunday 26 July by reports of a break-in.
It will be alleged an intruder kicked in the door to a home and assaulted the occupant, a man aged in his 80s.
The victim sustained cuts and bruises, but no serious injuries.
Patrols attended and located the suspect on the driveway after he allegedly tried to enter a neighbouring address.
The 16-year-old Port Lincoln boy was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and assault. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Youth Court tomorrow, Monday 27 July.
The victim and offender are not known to each other, and it is believed the intruder had the wrong address.
