Police Arrest Three After Seaford Pursuit And Crash

Police have arrested three people following a pursuit in Seaford in the early hours of this morning.

Officers sighted a grey Audi A4 driving erratically on Carrington Avenue about 3am.

It is alleged that the vehicle attempted to ram a police vehicle, forcing the officers to take evasive action, to avoid being hit.

The Audi - carrying cloned plates - was pursued for a short time, before crashing into a pole nearby on Austin Road and igniting.

Following the crash, the occupants were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman from Frankston North, remains in hospital under police guard.

The passengers, a 31-year-old man also from Frankston North and a 32-year-old year man from Carrum Downs, were released pending further enquiries.
