Police arrest two after Reservoir armed robbery

Police have arrested a man and a woman following an alleged armed robbery in Reservoir during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to Broadhurst Avenue about 2.40am to reports a woman had been assaulted him with a hammer and had her bicycle stolen.

Police responded swiftly and arrested a 43-year-old Maidstone man and a 23-year-old Warrnambool woman nearby.

The pair are assisting investigators with their enquiries and investigations remain ongoing.

A 35-year-old Reservoir woman declined to be transported to hospital.

Police are particularly interested in speaking with four witnesses who were travelling in a car and stopped to speak to the victim at the intersection of Broadhurst Avenue and High Street.
