Police arrest two after stolen car dumped at North Haven, South Australia

A man and woman have been arrested after they allegedly dumped a stolen Audi at North Haven.

Just after 11.30am on Thursday 16 April, a police patrol spotted a black Audi sedan displaying Victorian registration plates on Military Road at Taperoo.

The black Audi which was believed to be stolen, was seen to travel north at a fast speed, but it wasn't pursued by police.

Numerous patrols converged on the area to search for the vehicle, locating the wanted car a few minutes later dumped on Falie Drive at North Haven.

Police patrols set up cordons in the vicinity after spotting a man running from the area. The man was chased on foot jumping several fences, before he was detained and arrested in a rear yard of house.

The 23-year-old man from Salisbury Downs is currently being interviewed over this and several other matters and expected charged with multiple offences.

The second suspect from the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman from Ethelton was also found nearby and arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

The stolen black 2013 Audi A4 sedan which was allegedly stolen during a house break-in at West Lakes on Sunday 22 March, has been seized by police for forensic testing.
