Police arrest two after Wyndham Vale affray

Werribee police have arrested two youths following a fight and a stabbing in Wyndham Vale earlier tonight.

Police responded to reports of a group of youths fighting in a shopping centre carpark off Greens Road about 7.30pm.

Police spoke to about 20 youths, with a number of other youths running from the scene.

A 21-year-old Kurunjang man sustained a stab would in the fight and was conveyed to hospital.

A 19-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy, both from Wyndham Vale, were arrested and have been charged with weapon offences.

Police took possession of a knife and a conducted energy device.

The 19-year-old man was charged with possessing a controlled weapon and has been bailed to the Werribee Magistrates' Court on 2 February 2020.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and has been bailed to a children's court at a later date.
