Police arrest two men after Mildura stabbing

Homicide Squad detectives have this morning arrested two men following the death of a man in Mildura on Saturday.

A 20-year-old Mildura man was arrested in Mildura this morning, following an earlier alleged carjacking.

A 23-year-old Mildura man was arrested a short time later in Renmark, South Australia, after he was intercepted by police with assistance from the Air Wing.

He was also in a stolen vehicle.

The 20-year-old Mildura man will now be interviewed by the Homicide Squad.

The 23-year-old Mildura man will be interviewed by South Australia Police initially on unrelated matters, prior to Homicide Squad detectives then interviewing the man.

The arrests follow an incident where a 36-year-old Mildura man was taken to a Mildura hospital with suspected stab wounds at 4.45pm on Saturday, 21 May,

He passed away a short time after.

The investigation remains ongoing.
