Geelong police have arrested a 23-year-old Geelong East woman in relation to an alleged assault in Geelong today.
It is alleged the woman assaulted the victim near a Moorabool Street shopping centre about 1.20pm.
The victim and alleged offender had left the scene before police arrived.
The Geelong East woman is currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.
She is expected to be charged with affray, unlawful assault and assault by kicking.
The investigation remains ongoing.
