Police arrest woman after house fire at Noarlunga Downs, South Australia

Police have arrested a woman following a suspicious fire at Noarlunga Downs.

Just before 6.30am on Wednesday 8 April, patrols and MFS crews were called to Huntingdale Road after reports of a house well ablaze.

The victim, a 58-year-old man from Noarlunga Downs, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Fire Cause investigators attended the scene and determined the fire as suspicious. Damage is estimated at around $200,000.

A short time ago detectives from South Coast CIB attended a Hackham address and arrested a 60-year-old woman who was allegedly at the victim's house at the time of the fire. She is currently at the Flinders Medical Centre undergoing a medical assessment and is expected to be charged with arson and acts to endanger life later today.
