Police arrest woman over unlawful detention

Major Crime Investigation Branch detectives today arrested and charged a 25-year-old woman in connection with an unlawful detention and aggravated assault that allegedly occurred on 5 February 2019 at North Plympton.

It is alleged the assault was violent and prolonged.

The arrested woman and three other suspects were arrested and charged with these offences in early 2019 however the charges were withdrawn in September 2019.

A cold case review of the investigation by Task Force Southern has resulted in today's arrest as well as the arrest yesterday of a 44-year-old man who faced court today.

Further arrests are anticipated.

The woman did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday 2 February 2023.

Task Force Southern Detectives continue to investigate the death of Trevor King, who was found deceased in the water at West Lakes on 4 January 2020 along with the disappearances and suspected murders of Robert Atkins who disappeared in November 2020 and Jeffrey Mundy who disappeared in December 2020.
