Police Attend Fatal Crash in Samford Valley

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash at Samford Valley about 5.30pm today, 12 January.

Initial investigations indicate the motorbike collided with a Toyota Hiace van on Mount O'Reilly Road at the intersection with Castlewood Court.

The rider of the motorbike, a 49-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision of the area around the time of the crash is urged to contact police.
