Police build case against Kilburn woman

A woman will face court after police found 11 boxes of Lego in her car at Prospect this morning.

Just after midnight patrols were driving along Regency Road when they spotted a black BMW travelling east. Police followed the car into the back streets of Prospect where they attempted to pull it over. The car eventually came to a stop on Charles Street.

As police approached the car a man allegedly ran from the driver's seat. The patrol spoke to the second person in the car, a 35-year-old Kilburn woman who was now seated in the driver's seat.

Police had cause to search the vehicle inside they located two ice pipes, a bank card suspected of having been stolen and 11 brand new sets of Lego in a garden waste bag.

The woman was reported for failing to truly answer questions to identify the driver of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession and possess equipment. She will appear in court at a later date. The investigation into the whereabouts and identity of the man remains on going.
