Police charge driver after drugs located after intercept

Eagle-eyed officers have arrested a man allegedly dealing drugs after a vehicle intercept in Braybrook last night.

Police observed the driver of a Toyota Yaris acting suspiciously on Royal Parade about 11.40pm.

They intercepted the car and spoke to the driver, a 24-year-old man.

The car was searched and it is alleged police located drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.

The 24-year-old was arrested and has been charged with trafficking and possessing cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and prescription medication. He was also charged with possess proceeds of crime.

He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 13 June 2023.
