Police charge five people after protest in Hobart

Five people have been charged following a protest at an office building in Bathurst St, Hobart earlier today.

While the people gathered outside the building were protesting lawfully, Tasmania Police officers attended the demonstration after a small group of people allegedly secured themselves to the building, obstructing the entrance to offices.

The five people were arrested and charged with trespass.

They will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
