Police charge man after 2019 Long Gully fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Long Gully last year.

The 19-year-old Bendigo man was last night charged with dangerous driving causing death and careless driving.

The charges follow an investigation into a collision that occurred on Wood Street about 2.30pm on 12 December 2019.

A 77-year-old Bendigo man was allegedly struck by a green solo Kawasaki motorbike as he crossed the road.

He was taken to hospital however he died as a result of his injuries on 6 January.

The 19-year-old was bailed and will appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court for a filing hearing today.
